We are happy to announce that our Artist in the Park for 2012 will be
Lisa Farrell.
Growing up she was always making things, drawing and painting. This creativity developed into a love for the arts, supporting and participating in visual arts groups and teaching painting classes to adults and children.

Lisa enjoys painting a variety of realistic subjects, such as flowers and birds, with a special interest in lighthouses. This interest she attributes to living in the Maritimes for many years and growing up near a lighthouse on the Great Lakes. She paints primarily in oils but enjoys working with watercolours and trying new mediums.
In the last few years Lisa has been experimenting with large, multi media water and sky studies, exploring her fascination with the sparkle and movement of sunlight on water and the ever-changing texture and colour of clouds.
For the past 16 years Lisa has enjoyed teaching art classes to adults and children.
As Art Curator for the Brighton Arts Council, she promotes the wealth and variety of artists in the area, organizing the rotation of art in Brighton. Lisa is also part of the Arts Quinte West's Communication Team supporting art in Trenton.
During July and August, Lisa will be in on Wednesdays, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, to showcase the art of painting, and the Park itself. Come join her and ask her about her work, art in general, or the Park.
Lisa's schedule is listed below but is subject to change due to weather.
Check at the Nature Centre or the Lighthouse Interpretive Centre on the day for any updates, and look for signs along the road.
