Spring Interpretive Program

Our spring interpretive program is centred around two of our birding special events and on guided hikes on select weekends in June.  See the Special Events section below for more information about our Waterfowl Festival, held over two weekends in mid-March and our Warblers and Whimbrels weekend held on the May long weekend.

June is an under-utilized time of the year at Presqu’ile but if you are interested in nature it’s a great time to be at the park.  Most of our summer resident birds are on territory and singing their hearts out to let us know they are here.  Vegetation is lush and insect diversity, particularly dragonflies, is at a peak.  We offer guided hikes on most Saturday mornings in June to discover the natural diversity of Presqu’ile Park.

Current schedules are posted throughout the park, or you can contact David at david.bree@ontario.ca to be put on the email list to receive our seasonal activity schedule.
