Explanation of Biodiversity
Friends of Presqu'ile's Schools Interpreter, Cortney Lee-Comeau, found that presenting the new Kids 'n Nature program took a little more in-depth thinking about biodiversity. Using the marsh, this year's topics include: food chain, habitat quality and interconnectedness, species and habitat sustainability, human benefit, and diversity. It is gaining that understanding, of diversity, which has taxed Cortney and her thoughts are laid out in the attached paper, click here, and flowchart click here.
While schools have been on holiday, Cortney has been working on the next modules, which we will be introducing next year. As for now she is hard at it, presenting the Kids 'n Nature program to schools throughout September and October.
