According to Ontario Parks rules, motor vehicles entering the park always require a valid permit to be prominently displayed on their dash - either a Daily Vehicle Permit or a Seasonal Permit - 365 days a year. Failure to have or failure to display a permit may result in a fine.
Permits can be purchased online year round or in person at the Main Gate or the Park Office, depending on the season. The prices for a Daily Vehicle Permit ("day pass") in 2024 are listed below:
$21 - regular
$16.75 - Ontario senior (resident of Ontario at least 65 years old)
$10.50 - Ontario Persons with Disabilities (Ontario residents who have a CNIB identity card or Ministry of Transportation accessible parking permit)
$0 - Canadian Armed Forces or Veteran (Monday to Friday only, Ontario resident with CAF ID card and proof of residency)
Permits are not required for anyone entering the park on foot or by bicycle.

In June 2021, Ontario Parks instituted a Daily Permit Reservation pilot program in certain parks including Presqu'ile. In order to guarantee entry to Presqu'ile on a specific day, you must make a reservation, even if you have a seasonal permit. There is no extra fee for the reservation. If and when the park reaches its maximum number of daily visitors, those without a reservation will be turned away.
For more information, please read the Ontario Parks website.
