THE JOHN COLE VOLUNTEER AWARD

Congratulations to Loretta Banting and her Christmas at Presqu’ile Committee!

The Board of Directors of the Friends voted to present the John Cole Volunteer Award to Loretta and her Christmas at Presqu’ile Committee and Volunteers. Loretta will be asked to accept this award on behalf of all volunteers who have worked with such dedication over the years to make this event the Friends’ most important yearly fund-raiser.

The John Cole Award was established in 1998 in memory of the late John Cole, the founder and a past Chair of the Friends. It recognizes outstanding volunteerism in the Park.

The Christmas at Presqu’ile Committee works year round searching for innovative artisans who will bring unique gifts of high quality to the Show. For five magical days, Cousins Cottage is transformed into an enchanting Christmas House and Stonehedge becomes a picturesque Tea Room by the Lake. Last year the art of Brent Townsend and Michael Dumas was introduced to the Show. We look forward to their return this year. Christmas at Presqu’ile will be held on November 6, 7, 10, 13 & 14, 1999 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Park entry is complimentary. It promises to be a great show and sale…again! Mark your calendars now!
