Linda Alkenbrack – Life Membership Award 2026

Life Memberships are granted to those individuals who have demonstrated significant, sustained and high-quality volunteer service over a period of years. Life Membership reflects a dedication to the value of the Friends. Any member may nominate another for Life Membership by submission to the Board of Directors via this form on our website.

This year’s recipient was Linda Alkenbrack. Linda joined the Friends board as Treasurer prior to the COVID pandemic, at a time when the Board was desperately looking for a Treasurer.

Linda has been a “treasure” of a Treasurer, going well beyond the board’s expectations for that position. Linda instituted new financial reporting to give Directors a full accounting for all activities, thus ensuring fiduciary responsibilities were met. She willingly added extra responsibilities for budgeting, investments, compliance and year-end reports. Despite this heavy workload, she found time to volunteer at special events!

Although  resigning as Treasurer, Linda will continue as a Friends volunteer, whenever and wherever she is able to assist the organization. Thank you, Linda!
