The Memorial Tree Planting Program at Presqu’ile By Christy Trescher, Director In 2019, the Friends of Presqu’ile established the Memorial Tree Planting Program to provide a meaningful way for individuals and families to pay tribute to loved ones or mark milestone events like birthdays and anniversaries. Rather than traditional plaques or benches, this initiative focuses on planting native trees – offering both a growing legacy and an opportunity to support the reforestation of Presqu’ile Provincial Park.
