Building Nature’s Classroom In 1942, Ed and Merele Cousins broke ground on what would become a palatial country residence along the shore of Lake Ontario. ‘Edmerel’, as they called their home, is now sometimes referred to as ‘the yellow house’ and is the site of Presqu’ile’s Nature Centre. Nature Centre Renovation Campaign We are excited to share news about our big project for 2025. We’ve launched our “Garage to Greatness: Building Nature’s Classroom” project. Part of the project is to refresh the Nature Centre with some cosmetic improvements, and we plan to transform the old ‘Yellow House’ garage into a four-season learning centre. We will completely renovate the space and install new audio-visual equipment. The classroom will accommodate 20-25 students.
