Insects are the most abundant animals that live at Presqu'ile over 1000 different species have been recorded here and we are adding new species to that list every year.
Butterflies are one group of insects that have been well studied at Presqu'ile. Over 70 different species have been recorded at Presqu'ile. Presqu'ile is also a hotspot for Monarch Butterfly migration each fall.
